The Chrysler/Jeep Cam Timing Tools are provided to ensure proper cam timing when servicing timing belts, chains, head gaskets, or performing other valve train repairs. These 15 tools are based on OE designs and are offered to service the following applications: 1993 – current 3.5 V-6 engine. 1994 – current 2.0 & 2.4 I-4 and 2.5 V-6 engines. 1998 – current 2.7 V-6 engine. 1989 – 1995 2.0 I-4 Mitsubishi engine. 1991 – 1997 3.0 V-6 Mitsubishi engine. 1981 – 1993 2.2 & 2.5 I-4 engines. 1999 – current 4.7 V-8 engine. 2002 – current 3.7 V-6 engine. Cam positioning is an IMPORTANT procedure. If cam timing is not correct, the engine may still run but emissions and mileage will be affected. The engine computer may also initiate the “Check Engine” light.
